Cultivating Courage! Yoga with Manisha


Sunday, March 4th, 11am-12:30pm

Are you ready to challenge the body and mind through strengthening, stretching, relaxing and breathing? By incorporating various props to help deepen your poses (including a chair or two), flexibility and muscle tone will continually improve as your mind, body and spirit work together in harmony in this delightful class! You'll be introduced to backbends in a properly supported way, allowing the chest to open up thereby giving space to the heart chakra. What happens when you envision yourself moving into a space of courage with a fully balanced and aligned heart center? How do you see your life improving?

On the physical side, backbends are invigorating and strengthening. They stretch the hip flexors and help open up the shoulders and chest, areas where, like many others, you may be holding tension. These poses are specifically designed to build strength and power in the legs, arms and back muscles. By increasing mobility and awareness of the spine, backbends improve posture and can help you to alleviate back and neck pain.  

Meet Manisha Parag

Manisha Parag is an experienced yoga instructor who has ​been practicing yoga ​most of her life, and teaching since 2008. Her teaching focuses on helping individuals find a deeper connection with their own physical, physiological, and psychological body through breath and mind-body connection. She has a gentle and restorative approach to the classes and pays close attention to posture, alignment, body-centered awareness, breath-based movement and hands-on adjustments. She is passionate about helping her clients transform and find their way to better physical and emotional health.
